Donate Meals

If your organization is interested in donating meals, Feeding Our Heroes has a food recovery program in place. In New Jersey, food donors are protected by the 1982 Food Bank Good Samaritan Act. As explained by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, "Pursuant to the Act, donors cannot be liable for damages in any civil action or subject to criminal prosecution resulting from the consumption of donated food, so long as the damages are not caused by gross negligence, recklessness, or intended misconduct."
